A gorgeous matte black and glass facade built into a cave in the side of a mountain. Why can’t our fire stations be this bad ass? I love how inspiring civic design can create a real sense of confidence in government. I would not only trust this fire company to put out a fire, but also to defend us against an alien invasion. This has to be the cutest terrarium I have ever seen. It is almost 1’ tall. Alas, it is 100 euros. A little too pricey for something I would probably just kill (like my previous terrarium). Maybe I will ask for one for some upcoming holiday.

I made friends with this man behind our hotel. He told me a long elaborate story about his parents meeting after his father was in a skydiving accident. It had something to do with photography but I am a bit hazy on the details at this point. It also involved a rock climbing accident. I think the moral of the story was that his parent’s have bad luck.

Montreal Skyline on Flickr.A few random photos from Montreal....

Montreal Skyline on Flickr.

A few random photos from Montreal. I tried shooting with my dad’s old Zuiko 50mm OM mount lens for the night. As expected, I ended up with a lot of out of focus images. However, there were a few nice ones in there. I tried something a little something different than my typical editing and gave them a little bit of a green tint. I think it compliments the optical flaws and lack of contrast from the old lens.

Hit 75,000 flickr views today.
