A nice visualization of population growth. It’s a few months old but it passed my “does it still impress me when I find it a second time” rule for posting something.

This ~$99 prescription glasses thing is becoming a trend. I see my self trying this website in the near future. Maybe for my next pair. My most recent pair arrived yesterday though, so I might need to take a break.

“In real life, it had all that … plus ketchup. I accidentally ate a bite of...”
– A serious Yelp overreaction to the the presence of ketchup in a sandwich. I think someone needs to relax a little bit.

“Walk next door to our immediate neighbor to your east, toward 3rd Ave. Go past...”
– Email from our super regarding how to dispose of two freight pallets. I changed a few details and names to protect the innocent, but otherwise this is his exact email. Best email of the day.

“I get speaker’s fees from time to time, but not very much.”
– Mitt Romney humbly referencing the $374,327.62 in speaker’s fees he earned last year, an average of $41,592 per speech. (via officialssay)

Just an interesting tidbit that this is apparently the statistical value of a human life according to the US department of transportation. You can find the article here for the 2009 value. Also check out this really interesting article from Slate about how this relates to seat belts on buses.

Image Deblurring from the Adobe Max conference. This looks like some pretty amazing technology and I know that it would have saved me many times to fix a photo that is just not quite crisp because of camera movement. I would imagine that down the road this type of software could be built into cameras. Imagine this combined with existing software image stabilization from motion sensors and optical...

I will support this and will likely buy many tracks from this for work. vimeo: We’ve all been there— in that sweaty, editing-induced fervor, down to the deadline with nothing left to do but add a soundtrack. Scrambling to find...

This man is one of the greatest characters ever and he is beautifully portrayed in this video. Well worth a watch. I personally would have loved the super soaker shoes as a child.
